Belle Bellino made a pleasing handicap debut on her first outing this season and she is nominated to achieve her first victory. Trained by Rod Millman, Belle Bellino was given three quick runs in succession to achieve her handicap mark last summer and in turn was awarded a mark of 66. Down 1lb for that effort, there does appear to be a large amount of wood in this and Belle Bellino, who can be expected to improve for her seasonal debut should be thereabouts. Peas In A Pod and Flower re-oppose where the former is 4lb worse off with Flower after finishing 1 3/4l in front of him last time. There should not be much to choose between them once again although Flower did not enjoy the clearest of passages in that event. Fools Gold races under a 6lb penalty after an easy success on the all-weather and is improving rapidly on the evidence of that. He could well prove to be the biggest threat to the selection. Billy Hot Rocks is a handicap debutant who could get involved although his maiden form is nothing to get excited about. First time blinkers had the desired effect on Nikolaievich last time but this six furlongs could prove to be on the sharp side. Belle Bellino is the selection to land this.
