      Verdict

A fairly competitive handicap for the grade, though those nearer the foot of the weights might struggle again. Last year’s form would give Hot Scoop a real chance but he may not have trained on. LEXINGTON LIBERTY found only one too good when favourite for a Catterick maiden 10 days ago. She runs in only her second handicap and Pat Dobbs prefers her to stablemate Emjaytwentythree, who needs cut in the ground. Vitalline has switched stables and is having a first run since January while Easy To Dream and Desert Marathon have been generally running over longer trips.
