It could be worth taking a chance with SAHARAN ROYAL given the form of the Salaman string but the likes of the well named Some Sunny Day and Manere Bay must enter calculations. Taffy Salaman has saddled three winners from his last seven runners which suggests that the selection may well be fit enough to do herself justice as does the booking of Buick. She shaped well on all three starts at two and her pedigree gives hope that she'll fare even better with another year on her back. Some Sunny Day was doing her best work in the closing stages at Leicester and looks capable of making her mark in handicap company. She's related to numerous winners including the smart Sakhee's Secret, Palace Moon and Palace Affair so connections will be keen to get a win out of her. Manere Bay looks ready for this step back up in trip given the way that she stayed on after a slow start at Chepstow but she had disappointed prior to that so does need to take another step forwards. Sapphire Rose, Seasonal Cross and Oriental Cross are others to bear in mind but Saharan Royal gets the vote.
