Last time out winners LARKHAM and Cill Rialaig have obvious claims whilst Goodwood Starlight could be interesting at a price. Basra comes into the race on the back of a decent effort at Sandown but is exposed and difficult to win with whilst Emperor Court enjoyed the run of the race at Haydock and has more on his hands here from an 8lb higher mark. Goodwood Starlight has dropped to a mark of 82 from a career high of 95; two of his four wins have come over this trip but his last two starts have been over twelve and fourteen furlongs. He's reunited with Eddie Ahern who has been aboard for three of his four successes and he's one to watch in the market. Cill Rialaig won a race named in honour of the trainer's father on her handicap bow and now has to compete from a 4lb higher mark which shouldn't prove to be insurmountable now that connections have found the key to her. Ralph Beckett was responsible for the runner-up so he will have a fair idea if Larkham is capable of completing his hat-trick; he, too, is up 4lbs for his latest success which came in a good time. They are both unexposed, progressive individuals but marginal preference is for Larkham.
