Ones to consider here include Shortest Day, Miss Amadeus, Nick's Nikita, Silken Act, Wassfa and With Style, with the vote going to the first-named. Shortest Day was beaten by a fair type at Newmarket last time and, with that experience under her belt, holds a good chance of earning some winning brackets today. Another Genepi has some good American blood, Aubaine showed some promise on her debut, as did Libgatt, although the form has not worked out. Lillie le Quesne holds possibilities from the Andrew Balding yard, and Miss Amadeus made late headway on her debut and is entitled to improve on that. Nick's Nikita was unlucky not to win on her debut and the form is solid enough, while Richard Hannon's Shine Bright is one to watch in the betting. The $220,000 purchase Silken Act is an interesting debutante, while John Dunlop's Spanish Rainbow has a middle distance pedigree. Finally, Wassfa was a fair third on her Brighton debut and this track will suit better, while With Style showed promise on her debut and the trainer's runners tend to come on for the run. She is respected but, overall, the vote goes to Shortest Day.
