In depth

Verdict

Roger Charlton's Sea Wall showed promise on his debut at Newbury when third behind Gold Gun but the first two finished a long way clear that day and the son of Giant's Causeway is not a certain stayer in this ground so preference is for Solarias Quest, who gets the verdict ahead of Rossbeigh. The last mentioned stepped up on his debut effort as a juvenile when third in a Windsor maiden last week and has to be respected. David Loder's colt makes more appeal than Amanda Perrett's Loch Quest, who is far from certain to stay this trip. Being by Double Trigger, Linden Lime should improve for the longer distance today and is another to consider but preference is for Solarias Quest. Alan King's gelding showed promise in all three starts as a juvenile, the last two of which were under testing conditions, and he has an obvious chance provided that he is fit enough for his return.
