Sizing Alberta's second to Jetstream Jack on his hurdling debut suggested there was much better to come but he's been beaten a long way in both subsequent starts. Bomber Jackson looked as though this sort of trip was required when staying on over the minimum at Ballinrobe, though he's still carrying a penalty for his Flat victories. CAPTAIN BARBOSSA also carries extra for his two bumper successes, both on good ground. He's been beaten in much softer conditions over hurdles but showed up well and, providing the ground doesn't ease too much, should gain his first victory over timber. Bright Tomorrow made an encouraging debut over hurdles at Limerick and started favourite over this trip at Ballinrobe but found Carrig Cathal much too strong.
