In depth

Verdict

FRIARY GOLD (NAP) had poor form over fences when trained in the UK, finishing last of three on his debut and failing to complete in his three subsequent starts. However, he's improved markedly over hurdles and gained a comfortable victory at Roscommon last week, suggesting he's very well handicapped here off a mark of 87 despite being 1lb wrong at the weights. Thisonesforollie is an obvious threat after just failing to concede 33lb to Maureen's Star at Kilbeggan, her first real sign of ability over fences. Rocky Court hasn't won since 2018 but his second to Draycott Place at Ballinrobe last May would put him in the frame as he's back on the same mark. Stamp Your Feet, once rated 135 over hurdles, has moved from the UK to Enda Bolger and may do better.
