Verdict

Any further rain would be to the great advantage of Aim For Glory, a winner over hurdles on heavy ground in March and a likely winner of his previous start when falling at the last. Formal Order was having his first start on Turf at Gowran last week and is a probable improver as is Lancastria, who was only caught in the closing stages over 1m3f at Killarney. Metier found 1m5f too far at Navan but was in the lead at this trip while Recent Revelations ran well for a long way on his return from a long break at Sligo. Royal Aide ran better than his form figure suggests at Tipperary last week but the vote goes to MARIA CHRISTINA, who showed promise on her Leopardstown debut in October and will have come on a bundle for her second place at Gowran in April.
