Nonrunner
Not a bad contest here and one that can be taken by MEZZANISI, while Closertobelieving also has strong claims. Mezzanisi will relish the sound surface and the return to this trip after three tries at 1m 4f and again he can get very competitive from this mark. Michael Bell's runners always merit the utmost respect on his raids here and this is no exception. Closertobelieving will be better for good ground here than when narrowly beaten at Sandown last time and he could be a threat even from this 2lb higher mark. St Jean Cap Ferrat probably wants some rain to be seen to best effect for the retiring Geoff Wragg, while Black Dahlia needs a drop in the weights. Totoman is not beyond improvement now that he reverts to 10 furlongs and he should be at home on the ground. Highland Love will find this tougher than at Beverley from a 4lb higher mark, and Fiesty Royale would be more appealing if the rains came, so we'll stick with Mezzanisi this time.
