Johannes should take the world of beating in this Listed event and he is taken to get the better of Sir Xaar and Desert Realm. The selection has a big future according to his trainer David Nicholls and he ran well in a hot race at Catterick that has worked out well on his debut, before winning a maiden at York last time. He looks progressive and he sets a decent standard for the rest today. Sir Xaar is capable of getting competitive at this level and although he does not have the scope for improvement of our selection, he is likely to be the one to capitalise if Johannes fails to fire. Desert Realm's latest run at York can be forgiven as he was hampered at the start. His overall form is quite solid and with conditions to suit he is not one to dismiss lightly. Campbelltown is from a yard that merits plenty of respect in these type of events but this is a step-up in class and he will need to improve to make the frame. We are therefore happy to stick with Johannes who looks the one to beat.
