Granston, Sky Crusader, Hartshead and Langford are the quartet for the shortlist in this handicap and the vote is given to Granston. The selection is a course and distance winner who won well last time at Leicester when beating Habshan. He remains on a handy mark and with conditions to suit should take plenty of beating. Hartshead has enjoyed a decent season and he will be suited by the step-up in trip after being outpaced in a competitive handicap at York last time. Sky Crusader looked as though he was crying out for the step-up to a mile when a good second behind Sea Hunter at Leicester last time. This colt remains unexposed and it would be no surprise to see him go well. Langford is the other worth a mention as he ran well in a competitive handicap at York last time and he looks to have decent place prospects today. However, for the winner we will stick with Granston.
