Hecuba boasts the best form in the race but comes up against two interesting newcomers from powerful yards with Massomah preferred over Alamouna. David Loder has made an excellent start to the campaign and the Newmarket handler may be able to add to the tally with Massomah, who is bred in the purple being a Seeking The Gold half-sister to a Group 3 middle distance winner in France. Alamouna also makes plenty of appeal on breeding being closely related to last year's 1,000 Guineas third Alasha and the market will provide further clues. Hecuba showed plenty of promise when a fair fourth in a backend Doncaster maiden and is open to further progress this year while Umoja has a fitness advantage and may prove best of the remainder.
