A high draw can be an advantage when the ground rides soft so Distant Times, in stall 14, looks ideally berthed to continue his flying start to the campaign at the main expense of Pertadias Magic, Four Amigos Reidies Choice. Although the selection's stablemate Mrs Moh is one to take notes on in running as she is a consistent filly that starts the campaign on a stiff mark and may be placed to good effect in conditions races against her own sex as the season goes on. However, she may have to play second fiddle to Distant Times today as the Orpen colt has already proved that he has trained on with gutsy efforts from his two previous starts this term. The three-year-old does have a 6lb higher mark to contend with after his easy win in a Classified Stakes at Warwick from just over a fortnight ago. Even so, the manner in which he out-speeded his rivals on that occasion left the impression that there is plenty more to come from him and, with trip, ground and draw very much in his favour, Distant Times has too much going for him to ignore here.
