A very moderate contest where APACHE RIDGE may be capable of successfully conceding weight away all around. Kevin Ryan's gelding drops back in trip from 7f to today's 6f, which is very much a positive. He goes on a sound surface and has some very solid form in the context of the race, so he will take a bit of beating. Thaliwarru looks a danger, with conditions and trip to suit and a decent effort in this grade last time to boot, while Collect Art has some ability but might just find this too short. Minturno ideally wants good to firm ground but is not out of this at the weights, though Apache Ridge is preferred.
