Tim Vaughan's Sassanian has shown a fair level of form in both races so far over timber in finishing second in races at Newton Abbot and Bangor and he sets a decent standard but may again have to settle for minor honours behind stable companion FRAMEIT, who can make a winning start to his hurdling career. Capable on the flat over middle distances when trained by Stan Moore, the selection makes his debut for the yard today and makes plenty of appeal first time up over timber for a stable that does well with runners from former yards. Howard Johnson's Desert Forest was rated higher than the selection on the level but is far from certain to stay this far having not raced beyond a mile, while Ben Haslam's Bateau Bleu is likely to do better for the experience of his first start.
