Tim Walford's Baltimore Jack could be an interesting newcomer to hurdling having been rated in the 70s on the flat but he lacks any hurdling experience and a safer option looks to be FAVOURS BRAVE, who gets the vote ahead of Rebel Hunter. The Steve Gollings-trained gelding did not race on the flat but has shown winning form over further in a point in Ireland and he has run encouragingly in all three starts under rules, most recently when a close fourth behind Sir Frank over course and distance. Hugh Collingridge's Paint The Town Red has shown ability on the flat and has claims first time up over timber but a better bet looks to be Favours Brave, who has shown a decent level of form in six starts over hurdles and he looks to have been found a suitable opportunity to open his account over timber.
