A case can be made for all with EURO NIGHTMARE taken to strike for the younger brigade. Keith Dalgleish's filly takes a dramatic 5f drop in trip after an excellent run behind Royal Ascot - bound Time To Study last time, prior to which she'd proved effective over shorter trips when scoring over 9f. Crucially, she takes a drop in class of two grades now and can regain winning brackets. Saeed Bin Suroor has bigger fish to fry at Royal Ascot but Dowayla should appreciate the step-up in trip and is respected. However, the main danger could come from Coillte Cailin, absent since a winter campaign but capable of going well as she's rated 8lb lower on turf. Prying Pandora and Pernickety also have solid claims in a open contest.
Coillte Cailin (IRE) 12-1 (9-7) Held up in rear, never dangerous, 7th of 9, 5 1/2l behind Amazement (9-3) at Wolverhampton 1m 1f hcp (3) pol in Mar.
Prying Pandora (FR) 3-1 (8-10) Tracked leaders, effort to lead narrowly 1f out, ridden inside final furlong, headed final 50 yards, one pace, 2nd of 5, 1 3/4l behind High Hopes (9-4) at Beverley 1m 2f hcp fll (3) gs in Jun.
Euro Nightmare (IRE) 13-2 (9-0) In touch, headway and switched left 2f out, soon ridden, effort inside final furlong, not quicken close home, 3rd of 9, 3/4l behind Time To Study (9-7) at Musselburgh 1m 6f hcp (2) gf in Jun.
Dowayla (IRE) 15-2 (9-6) Tracked leaders, effort over 1f out, weakened closing stages, 6th of 11, 4 1/4l behind Mukalal (9-4) at Wolverhampton 1m 1f hcp (4) pol in Jun.
Pernickety 9-2fav (9-3) Dwelt, soon mid-division, headway over 3f out, weakened inside final furlong, 7th of 11, 12l behind Boycie (9-6) at Sandown 1m 2f hcp (5) gf in May.
Katebird (IRE) 12-1 (9-6) Soon pressed leader on outer, led 3f out, headed over 2f out, weakened over 1f out, last of 8, 22 3/4l behind Earthly (9-9) at Lingfield 1m 4f hcp (5) pol in May.
