      Verdict

      FIRST IN COMMAND, who completed a Southwell hat-trick in March, continues to go well on Turf and would have an obvious chance if taking his place. He needs more rain but appears likely to get it and can return to winning ways. Lady Del Sol was having her first start since November when a very close third to Dotty Darroch at Hamilton last month and should have improved for the run but Captain Scooby is still looking a few pounds high in the weights though he ran well at Sandown last time. Select Committee is best on fast ground and won't have his conditions this time but Chosen One won't mind the ground and has dropped to a fair mark nowadays.
