        Verdict

        Ralphy Boy wasn't able to get an uncontested lead at Chester last week so his run at the Roodee is best ignored, but he may find SPACE WAR too hot to handle on this occasion. Mick Easterby's seven-year-old hasn't been the easiest horse to catch right though he won in convincing fashion at Thirsk and he wasn't far away from following up at Beverley. Border Bandit is a course and distance winner and the gelding has been a credit to his connections with three victories this term. Fazza has the chance to reverse Pontefract form with him at much more favourable terms and Edwin Tuer's charge cannot be ruled out from doing so. David O'Meara has engaged the services of a smart 7lb claimer for Shouranour and any market confidence behind the former John Oxx inmate should not be ignored.
