A trappy maiden closes the card and the vote is given to Mangham, with Miss Rochester and Tatbeeq the dangers. The selection showed progressive form last season and if he is fit enough to do himself justice on his seasonal bow then he looks a decent bet to open his account. Miss Rochester was well beaten on her debut but she should learn from the experience and this quicker ground will suit her. Tatbeeq has a good draw and she has to be of interest, although she does have questions to answer in relation to both the trip and ground. Sirvino made a promising debut and he can prove best of the others, but Mangham looks an improving type and he is our choice to lead them home.
