    Verdict

David Loder has a good record win his runners at Ripon and is taken to extend it further with Annambo, who gets the vote over Pershaan and Amundsen. The selection made a successful return to action when cosily landing the odds in a Thirsk maiden last month for which the son of In The Wings has been allotted a mark of 82 for handicap debut. That looks a fair mark and, with further improvement to come, he looks the one to be one. Pershaan is the obvious danger. John Dunlop's filly is also unexposed after just four starts and improved for the step up in trip when chasing home Cruise Director in a Windsor handicap last time. She should go close. Most of Mark Johnston's horses have tended to strip fitter for their reappearance so it would be no surprise to see Amundsen step up on his second start of the campaign. Stable companion Kahyasi Princess looks the best of the remainder.
