In depth

Verdict

Harlem Soul has a course and distance victory to his credit though that was at a lower grade and he's 4lb higher. Stable companion Roseabad hasn't won since last year's debut on fast going at Bath while Brasca has been well beaten over much longer trips since scoring on fast going at Salisbury. BRILLIANT LIGHT completed a double last summer and earned some decent prize-money in Dubai earlier this year. His two recent runs have been in better company than this and he lost a shoe at Haydock last time so gets the nod with his rider's claim a bonus. Dark Jedi finished just in front in that latter event and he was in excellent form last summer while Dash Of Spice, a Royal Ascot winner back in 2018, is gradually dropping to a winnable mark.
