    Verdict

    The veteran Briardale completed a double in the spring and though up a few pounds has won from much higher marks in the past. The latter remark also applies to Sameem, though it's two years since he showed his best form. DELPH CRESCENT's last two victories have been at Southwell but he's won around here. Providing the ground doesn't dry out too much Richard Fahey's grey looks the one to beat. Zookeeper ran a shocker on soft ground at Pontefract but would have a chance on his victory at Musselburgh in April.
