HUKBA looks the one to beat in the finale and he is put forward to get the better of Countenance and Highkingofireland. Ed Dunlop has been in decent form and this 3-year-old has shaped with promise on each of her two starts so far. She probably didn't quite see out the trip in a competitive maiden at Newbury last time and now that she is dropped to this more suitable trip she is taken to lose her maiden tag. Countenance looks the obvious alternative as he shaped with promise on his debut in a race that has worked out well. He is another who will be suited by this slight drop in trip and he is certainly of interest. Highkingofireland improved on his debut run when he finished fourth behind Off Chance last month, but he will qualify for a handicap after this run and that is where his future may lie. Tim Easterby's newcomer Waltzalong is worth noting in the market, but Hukba sets a fair standard and looks the one to beat.
