In depth

Verdict

A tricky little race to round off the card and none can confidently be ruled out. However, Red Fort could well have plenty more to offer and the Green Desert colt is just preferred over Black Falcon and Mujhud over this trip. Sovereign Dreamer is in danger of becoming disappointing and may be best watched today, while Itemise will probably strip fitter for the outing. Therefore, Red Fort, who ran out a ready winner of a competitive Newmarket maiden, can draw the sting out of his rivals if he puts in a similar effort today. The fact that his stable is riding the crest of the wave at present is also an obvious plus and the three-year-old could easily extend their run of good form if he builds on his previous experiences today.
