In depth

Verdict

Dimboola, Rouen and Always Fruitful look the three to concentrate on in this maiden and the vote is given to Dimboola. The selection was a good second behind Excellent Art last time out. That form looks rock solid in the context of this race and he need only reproduce that effort to win this. Rouen rates the main danger on his latest fourth behind Espartano especially as this longer trip should suit. Always Fruitful is another worthy of respect as he is a well bred Fruits Of Love colt, brother to 7f winner Fruit Salad, half-brother to winners Lear Skywalker and Parkview Love and will not need to be anything special to take a hand in the finish. Of the remainder Hunting Call hails from a yard that can ready a newcomer and is another to note in the market but Dimboola sets a fair standard and will be hard to beat.
