This is a competitive finale which could go the way of Alcyon, with Thalberg and Mustamad the pair nominated to chase him home. The selection is a likeable colt and he has only narrowly been denied on each of his two starts to date. He was a close second third behind Masterofthecourt last time at Windsor and nominal improvement will make him hard to beat. Thalberg ran well enough when second behind Futun at Leicester last time and he is open to further improvement so he looks the main danger. Mustamad needs fast ground to be seen at his best but he has not done much wrong on each of his two starts and he chased home the well-regarded Barodine at Warwick last time. Luca Cumani's string are in good form so his newcomer Kibara is certainly worth a look in the market, but for the winner we will stick with Alcyon.
