Verdict

Whether Jalil will ever be good value for money given his extraordinary price tag is debatable, however he needs to win and win soon and today could be the day. Fantastic Morning and King Joshua look the dangers. People may well be getting fed up of hearing how much this Storm Cat colt cost and Godolphin will want the horse to win to get the first monkey of their backs. He travelled well on his seasonal reappearance but then seemed to blow up a bit in the closing stages. He should have come on for that effort and whilst he still looks green, today is the day. Fantastic Morning has been given a mini-break since making an average debut at Wolverhampton. He will need to improve to trouble the judge today. King Joshua ran good yardstick Bergonzi close last time out and now takes a slight drop in trip. John Egan's mount shouldn't be underestimated despite looking to be pretty exposed. Go But Go should be watched for market support on his debut, however Jalil gets the confident nomination.
