In depth
Verdict
Karlani keeps finding one too good but can get his head in front today at the main expense of dual-performer Garnett and Spring dream. A trappy contest in which none of the runners can be ruled out, however Karlani's recent form looks solid and on ground that suits he gets the nod. Although he is yet to win in 11 starts, Alan Swinbank's son of Fantastic Light looks sure to run well given his aptitude for fast ground. A return to two miles won't hold any fears and with blinkers on for the first time hoping to sharpen him up a bit, he looks worth a bet. Two other horses sporting first-time headgear are Garnett and Industrial Star. Both seen over jumps of late, the latter looks on a decent mark for a return to the flat whilst Garnett appears better on the all-weather than the turf. However a mark of 65 looks appealing. Spring Dream didn't appear to stay when last stepped up to this trip so for that reason is opposed and we will return to Karlani as the likeliest winner.
