A return to Ripon will suit Kellys Eye but his mark of 95 might be the stumbling block and so we will desert him and plump for BALDEMAR ahead of Ruth Carr's duo. Now with Richard Fahey, the selection has threatened this year as if another win is imminent. He has been given some leeway by the handicapper and now racing off a mark of 88 he can record another course success. Midnight Martini is far better than her disappointing York run last time out and is worth another chance, Kellys Eye runs this track exceedingly well and is another who is not discounted, whilst Icelandic needs a second looks racing off 93. Excusez Moi is talented if somewhat wilful, whilst stablemate Red Cape is another to have won here but his mark has paid as a result of his consistency. Gap Princess is a similar story but she may still have more to come, Sioux Rising needs a market check on his return to action, whilst Rievaulx World is a well-handicapped front-runner but this sixth furlong may just find him running on empty late on. A very competitive sprint where Baldemar looks worth a bet.
