Bright Applause is one of just two course and distance winners in the line-up but hasn't run since last April while the other, Moon Over Rio, won this easily on soft ground a year ago. Gabrial The Terror has gained his last five victories at Wolverhampton and hasn't shown much on Turf while Mcvicar went up 8lb for his Thirsk victory and struggled at Musselburgh though the ground may have been too fast. Wishing Well has never won but found two miles too far last time but the vote in a poor contest goes to KIP (NAP). Formerly with Sir Michael Stoute, David O'Meara's charge was well beaten in a four-runner race at Catterick but had better fancied rivals behind and with that under his belt can start making up for lost time. The lightly-raced Arrowtown was unlucky at Beverley last time and is worth a market check.
