Eleven runners and not much form for any of them, but Tim Walford's GULF COAST has performed better than the placings suggest in last two starts, whilst Dispol Diva and Tropical Bachelor look the best of the rest. Melkatant may also be able to feature if fit and ready after a break. This race is only the fourth race back for Gulf Coast who took a long break stretching from December 2008 through to April this year. Since returning the results have been respectable without getting any honours, but he has been getting closer of late and although finishing sixth in his last race at Newcastle, this was only by three-and-a-quarter lengths. On a pound less than last time and having built up some course experience after his break, this may be a useful handicap to get back to winning ways. Dispol Diva hasn't won since last year and although having won off a higher mark before, she may find it a tough challenge to duplicate today. Tropical Bachelor is still a maiden after twenty-one runs and is overlooked on this occasion despite an eye-catching jockey booking and a couple of better runs recently. Tim Walford trained the winner of this race last year and we side with Gulf Coast to get the win.
