      Verdict

      David Barron looks to have found a good opportunity for BERTIEWHITTLE to finally open his account. He has a string of placed efforts next to his name in better company than this and looks to have the edge on Moral Issue. The latter ran his best race to date when runner-up at Ripon last time though he was still beaten over four lengths. Namwahjobo should do better this year, but Dreamweaving and Crabbies Ginger have yet to show any worthwhile form and the newcomers make no appeal.
