KING PIN, Lady Florence and Wiseman's Diamond make the shortlist here, with King Pin taken to defy top weight and maintain his good recent form. Wiseman's Diamond is the epitome of consistency, and although he hits the frame with great regularity, he seems to have an aversion to getting his head in front. His last win came in 2007 and the next may be some time yet. Lady Florence won successive races at Brighton recently where she showed a liking for fast ground, and although she has been beaten twice since, having gone up the weights, she showed she is still a force to be reckoned with when a close second at Beverley last time out and can go close. King Pin was a beaten favourite at Hamilton recently, having won over the course and distance previously. That reverse was in a small field which may not have suited him-the race turned into something of a sprint. He is relatively unexposed, and King Pin can revert to winning ways here.
