PACIFIC BAY, Peaceful Rule and Magic Haze are the trio to look at in this open affair, with Pacific Bay selected to continue Richard Fahey's purple patch. Peaceful Rule comes here with the benefit of decent experience in comparison to some of her rivals, and she has been narrowly beaten twice this season. This is an ordinary contest on paper, and it would be no surprise to see her hit the frame again. Magic Haze has not been seen since September, but he showed real promise on that occasion, staying on well to be third. That was an improvement on recent efforts, and the market should be heeded as to his chances after his lay off. Pacific Bay ran promisingly on several occasions as a juvenile, and was expected to make a bold showing on her seasonal re-appearance at Ayr, where she ran well before a lack of race fitness took its toll in the closing stages. The Diktat filly will have come on for that outing, and Pacific Bay can score at a nice price.
