It looks significant that Macorville is turned out quickly following his maiden win and he can carry top-weight to victory here, Prince Charlemagne and Spanish Lace may do best of the others. George Moore's gelding relished the under foot conditions at Ripon last week, absolutely murdering his rivals in a modest looking maiden. His previous handicap form wasn't too shabby either and with conditions to suit this afternoon he can make it back to back victories. Prince Charlemagne was in great form on the all-weather this winter and ran in a much better race than this at Newmarket last time. In this company he should make his presence felt. Spanish Lace hit winning form on the all weather in January and doesn't look too badly treated on her turf debut. Dream Champion is proving hard to win with this season but should do best of the others, however Macorville is hard to ignore in this mood and he gets our vote.
