        Verdict

        ANGEL OF FASHION should strip fitter for her run at Thirsk recently and she is taken to come good today, with Lochantanks and Lord Fidelio better off than some at the weights and also considered. The last-named has to shoulder top weight and is almost a stone worse off with the pick than if this were a handicap. In addition to that, 7f looks to be his optimum trip and although the yard is back among the winners we will take him on today. Lochantanks won a 7f Lingfield claimer in March, but has been thrashed in two handicaps since. Now back in this grade, if he acts on the turf he is entitled to be bang there. Whispered Times has trip and ground to suit and should be better for a recent outing, so money for the gelding would be interesting, but we prefer Angel Of Fashion. The Dandy Nicholls-trained filly won a Leicester handicap off 72 when the ground was also fast last September. She has failed to cope with her increased mark in two subsequent runs, so the drop into a claimer makes this fair bit easier, especially at these weights, and with fitness not an issue she is selected.
