It looks prudent to focus on the two previous winners who raid from Newmarket, unless the market suggest otherwise. MAKINITUP built on a pleasing Newmarket debut with a heavy-ground success at Lingfield but she gave the impression of not being entirely straightforward. She could well come forward with experience, however, and is a viable option to the likely market leader Star Jewel. The latter scored in good style on her debut at Kempton last November but hasn't been seen since whereas the selection has no fitness doubts and also receives 3lb thanks to Cameron Noble's claim.
