      Verdict

Nothing went right for MAGNOLIA STATE at Haydock but she still finished an honourable second behind a Godolphin filly who went on to win again and later finish runner-up in Listed company. On that evidence, Richard Fahey’s daughter of Kodiac should be going one better here. Ischia is almost certainly capable of better than she showed at Newbury and the others with experience have hinted at ability. There are also a few newcomers who catch the eye on breeding including Shoutout, Femme Friendly and Jumbly.
