Though he's often placed, Falcun remains a maiden on the Flat and over hurdles and gets little respite from the handicapper. Tarantella Lady won over hurdles at Doncaster in January and was second recently over C&D so has to go on the short-list but Commander Veejay's best form has come in sellers and he is 3lb higher than when well beaten at Hamilton latest. BROOK STAR was a C&D winner off today's mark last August and should be approaching peak fitness now after a couple of runs. The trip was too sharp at Nottingham last time and he gets the vote here, though Shirls Son Sam could reverse Newcastle running with Falcun and be a threat.
