      Verdict

Spiekeroog and Blue Top both started favourite last time. The latter fared better, finishing third at Ripon but that was only a seller. PETELLA came right back to form at Doncaster last week in an apprentice's race and escapes a penalty here. Jacob Butterfield takes a further 7lb off George Moore's mare and it will be no surprise if she posts a quick follow-up. Light The City is probably fairly handicapped at present and could run into a place but it's difficult to make a serious case for many of the others.
