      In depth

      Verdict

      A couple of these stand out having both gone close on their respective debuts. Mecca's Angel is one as she finished fourth in a blanket finish at Thirsk last month. However, it was soft ground on that occasion and FLYING BEAR is just preferred as he was beaten less than a length on the Polytrack at Kempton and looks sure to handle today's fast going. The remainder have shown nothing to recommend them so far and the newcomer Etchy makes no appeal on breeding.
