Verdict

Alhoby was very green at York and much better is expected while The Bobster caught the eye over the minimum at Beverley when staying on late. Westend Avenue started favourite for the latter race and led for a long way but weakened quickly in the closing stages. War Memorial was a disappointing favourite at Ayr while Dain Ma Nut In was staying on over 7f at Catterick so may find this on the short side. EYE OF DUBAI missed the break at Chester and was always playing catch-up but stayed on strongly and was only beaten a neck so can go one better.
