        Verdict

        Purple Martini scored twice in the spring including here and still looks reasonably treated. Burj Malinka comfortably won a Hamilton handicap before running poorly when well supported for an amateurs' race back there, which wasn't his form. Havana Rum landed a Class 6 Catterick handicap and was well out of his depth in a Class 2 handicap at Nottingham while Kats Bob's two recent victories have been at a lower level. GLENDOWN's comfortable victory at Chester is the best recent form on view and though a bit disappointing at Hamilton next time he looks the one to beat.
