Top weight Nanton has slipped back to a fair mark and has to be respected but has proven to be difficult to win with and he may be best watched in a race where the vote goes to Apache Point, who gets the vote over Fremen. The last mentioned probably found the ground too testing at Ayr last week and he has to be of interest back on a faster surface today but the David Nicholls-trained gelding may be a shade high in the weights. Methusaleh ran better back over this trip at Newcastle last time and he could be of interest if the market spoke in his favour. Efidium is on along losing sequence, while Jaassey has more to do than when narrowly landing a Beverley seller last time. The vote then goes to Nigel Tinkler's Apache Point, who has held his form well of late and may have been found a soft enough contest to defy a mark that looks high enough at first glance.
