        Verdict

        Robert Eddery does well with the limited ammunition at his disposal and DONNCHA is taken to defy top weight for the yard after creating a good impression when scoring in a decent Goodwood handicap over 7f just under a fortnight ago, a second win from the last three starts. Ideally suited by this specialist distance, he looks on the upgrade and can take a 4lb rise in his stride. King Torus is sure to pop up sooner or later and nearly obliged last time when a half-length second to Chiswick Bey at Musselburgh. He's yet to reproduce last summer's good form but is not too far off. Stablemate Intisaab isn't ruled out either but Major Crispies, something of a character, seems better suited by 6f these days.
