Verdict

Circus Lion was third on debut at Hamilton but we’ll take a chance on the only newcomer in the contest, David and Nicola Barron’s HARDMAN. He’s by smart sprinter Havana Grey out of a mare who won over 7f and 1m. Townsend Manor is probably the form pick on placed efforts at Windsor and Ripon even though Havana Rose won over 6f at Carlisle at the start of the month. Salvuccio started favourite at Bath after a promising debut over 6f at Nottingham but couldn’t quicken.
