The vote here goes to Gavioli ahead of Phantom Song, Beverley Beau and Town End Tom. With Milton Bradley's stable in good form, recent winner Gavioli is respected even though the handicapper has had his say. However, this is not a strong affair and he looks set to go well. Jamie Osborne sends Phantom Song on the long trek north for this race and, a recent winner of an apprentice race, he can reward that faith by going well here, although he is closely weighted with Beverley Beau and Town End Tom based on that win, with In Rhubard back in fourth. It is hard to be strong on the chances of the others, although Muara could be interesting on his handicap debut and Compton Spark seemed to show some improvement last time. Overall, though, for us the vote goes to Gavioli.
