Kiwi Bay has obliged on six previous occasions at Redcar and there wouldn’t be a dry eye in the house if Michael Dods’ veteran could register yet another success. It is almost two years since he last won a race so we will reluctantly oppose him with OUR BOY JACK. Richard Fahey’s gelding was second in a much better claimer at Doncaster and any rain would be to his liking. Captain Felix is a relative newcomer in comparison and while he is winless this term, George Scott’s charge struck on his handicap debut at Beverley last season. Sophisticated Heir has proved notoriously difficult to catch right so it will be fascinating to see how Oisin Murphy gets along with him this afternoon.
